In 2000, the EPB found that there were chlorine-containing organic pollutants in the monitoring wells of Xinyi Township, Pingtung County. After the investigation, there were 1,1-DCE, 1,1,2-TCA, TCE, PCE in the groundwater in the region. Therefore, the EPB proposed the future recommendations through field investigation, groundwater quality monitoring, pilot test, risk assessment and overall follow-up control measures. The project has completed the contaminant area, with the widest distribution of 1,1-DCE (about 3.6 square kilometers), mainly in the downstream region (T00483), and Contaminants of TCE and PCE in the upstream region (T00226-2 or T00092). The pilot test is the bioremediation experiment with different injection tests. A total of 7 nutrient injections have been completed, and the total cumulative amount is 541 tons. The result of the test is that the large amount of nutrient injections is the most widely distributed,but SRS nutrient to create an anaerobic environment is not as good as expected.
